Educational work

Professor Hnatushenko V.V. teaches disciplines: "Operating systems", "Web-technology and Web-design", "Digital signal processing", "Methods of image processing", "IT project management", "Methods of computer processing of digital multichannel data", etc. His pupils are active participants and numerous winners of the All-Ukrainian competitions of student's scientific works, programming olympiads.

Scientific activity

Professor Hnatushenko V. is a specialist in the field of information technology, mathematical and computer modeling of processes and systems. Under the supervision and with direct participation of the developed mathematical models of the formation of the spatial distributions of brightness scanner remote sensing data recorded from aerospace platforms. Evidence of high scientific authority prof. Hnatushenko is his repeated involvement as an opponent of dissertation research submitted for the degree of Candidate and Doctor of Sciences. He is the author of more than 350 scientific and educational works, including patents. He participated in numerous international conferences and symposia. Member of the program committees of international conferences, IEEE Senior Member. Professor Hnatushenko V. is a member of the editorial boards of an international scientific journals, conducts a great deal of scientific and organizational work on the training of highly qualified scientific personnel. He has supervised 1 Dr. Sc. and 10 Ph.D. theses. He is an expert of the Department of certification of highly qualified personnel and licensing of the Ministry of Education and Science.

Prof. Hnatushenko V.V. cooperates with enterprises, which allows adapting the appropriate curriculum for preparing students in accordance with the requirements of leading IT companies. Member of the scientific-methodical commission on “Information Technologies, Automation and Telecommunications”.


Biography

Volodymyr V. Hnatushenko was born in Murmansk in 1975. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Technology and Telecommunications from Dnipropetrovsk National University, Ukraine, and the Ph.D. degree in information technologies from Tavria Technological University, Melitopol, Ukraine, in 1998, 1999 and 2003, respectively. He received the Doctor of Technical Science in Information technologies in 2009.  Dissertation topic "Geometrical models of formation and preliminary processing digital photogrammetric images of the high spatial resolution". In 2006 – docent (equivalent to Associate Professor), 2011 – Full Professor.

Prof. Hnatushenko received the Grant of the Cabinet of Ministers for young scientists from 2005 to 2007, Grant of the Supreme Soviet of Ukraine "For the most talented young scientists" 2010 and Grant of the President of Ukraine in 2011.
