The main directions of scientific activity are information technologies of analysis and processing of photogrammetric images of high spatial resolution, 3D-modeling. In particular, in her dissertation research Sokolova N.O. developed a new information technology for automated building recognition on satellite images. Improving the level of automation, accuracy and speed of recognition of artificial objects on the earth's surface. Author and co-author of over 100 scientific and methodological publications.

Biography
Sokolova N.O. in 1994 she graduated from Dnipropetrovsk State University (Oles Honchar Dnipro National University) with a degree in "Computers, Complexes, Systems and Networks". On May 12, 2021 she successfully defended her PhD thesis on specialty 05.13.06 "Information Technologies".
Since 1994 he has been teaching as an assistant, and since 2000 as a senior lecturer at the Automated Information Processing Systems Department (since 2017, Computer Science and Information Technology Department) of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University. Since 2021 - Associate Professor Information Technology and Computer Engineering Department of Dnipro University of Technology.
