Participation in the Project on German-Ukrainian academic cooperation

On March 15-25 within frame of International Project “Training Course: Management of Internationalization and German-Ukrainian Academic Cooperation 2022-2023” (coordinated by Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) within the DAAD Programme) the second offline workshop for representatives of the international departments of Ukrainian universities took place in Bonn and Hannover.

In Bonn participants visited Head Office of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, DFG German Research Foundation and German Rector’s Conference.

During the meeting with Dr. Kai Sicks, Secretary General of the DAAD and other representatives of the Organization, participants of the workshop described the current situation with conducting education process and researches by Ukrainian universities, made known the existing needs and presented the experience of universities in ongoing DAAD projects on support of Ukraine; also it was emphasized the need for new programs on support of higher education of Ukraine and German-Ukrainian academic cooperation. Looking forward to new calls.

The second part of the workshop in Hannover included meeting with Hannover Mayor's Office, Volkswagen Foundation, German Network of Science Managers (Wissenschaftsmanagement), seminars and lections provided by experts of EU Liason Office Hannover, International Office of Leibniz University of Hannover and external experts.
