Educational work
Professor Korotenko G.M. lately teaches disciplines "Informatics", "Algorithms and data structures", "Architecture of information systems", "Agile methodology for creating information systems", "Information systems convergence strategy", "Electronic business information systems" and others.
Author of two textbooks (with MESU stamp), three monographs and seven study guides (five with MESU stamp and two with the Scientific Board of NTU “DP”, one of them published in English). Two of the publications won first place in the regional inter-university competitions for the best educational and methodical publications in Dnipro. He also co-authored of the thirty three normative and methodical publications in the disciplines of the Universitys departments.
Specialist in information technology and computer modeling in environmental security, civil protection. Recently, he has been working on the development of ontological models to support the processes of using them to solve the problems of the competence approach in the educational process, as well as the introduction of elements of DevOps methodology in the structure of the learning courses of the department. He is a member of three specialized councils that function at the State Institution of Environmental Geochemistry of the NAS of Ukraine, Ivan Chernyakhovsky National University of Defense of Ukraine and the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv with specialties 21.02.03 - civil protection and 21.06.01 - environmental safety. Opponent of seven doctoral and therty PhD dissertations. Author and co-author of more than 160 scientific articles and abstracts, as well as three monographs. Prof. Korotenko G.M. maintains ongoing contacts with stakeholders in the educational and professional specialty program 126 Information Systems and Technologies, which help to increase the level of implementation of modern information technologies in the discipline of learning courses students according to the needs of modern requirements.
Ghryghorij Korotenko was born on January 10, 1948. From 1966 to 1971 he studied at the Dnipropetrovsk Institute of Railway Engineers, specialty 0608 "Electronic computers". In 1976 he completed his post-graduate studies at the Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, majoring in Automation of Design and Engineering Works. From 1982 to 1992 he held the position of junior scientific/ scientific employee of the Department of Statistical Dynamics of Mechanical Systems, Institute of Technical Mechanics, NAS of Ukraine (Dnipro). Areas of activity: software development and implementation of information technologies in the data processing for testing samples of components of different nomenclature (including special purpose) in order to increase the level of competitiveness and quality of functioning. In 1991 he defended his PhD dissertation. He has been teaching since 1999. In 2003 he received the rank of associate professor. Doctor of Technical Sciences (2010). Professor Korotenko has received certificates of honor and was awarded the NTU "DP" medals for his fruitful years of work in the field of training highly qualified specialists.
